• The building has a prominent place on the city square, defining it together with the City Hall and the collegiate church. This explains the emphasis on the entrance and on its crowning tower. But the main interest of this work is the effort to make the skylights on the roof illuminate the different levels – museum, library, conference rooms – and give unity and consistency to a building in which such diverse programs are superimposed.
